Chevrolet Camaro Z28 is perfect time capsule after 50 years
This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 hadn’t seen action for over 50 years
It’d spent most of its life stationary in its owner’s basement
How will it run after decades of inactivity?

This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 has been parked in a man’s basement since 1980 and has served as a perfect time capsule.

Cars that have stayed dormant for decades often tend to reflect the time period in which they were last used.

With this car last being driven in 1971, there was a lot of history contained within those four wheels.

So, how did this Camaro hold up after all these years?

How had this Chevrolet Camaro held up after forty years?
The current owner claimed that the previous owner had parked the car in 1971.

From that point until 1980, it remained outdoors and accumulated a few scratches.

As reported by autoevolution, the car has also sustained some damage from battery acid on the right-side front fender.

On the whole however, it’s looking great for its age.

Considering the state some cars find themselves in – like this 1968 Dodge Charger which had been left to rot – it’s impressive that this Z28 looks as good as it does.

With only 3,863 miles on the odometer, it’d be fair to call this a pristine car.

It’s easily one of the lowest mileage Z28s out there.

In a stunning Daytona Yellow color, this is a real head turner.

Insofar as the car’s performance on the road is concerned, it’s a bit of a mixed bag.

The car is definitely in need of some new tires as the ride was a little bumpy.

However, things began to improve slightly once a ‘bunch of dust’ had been blown out of the exhaust.
